🍞 PKU Bread (Only 6 Ingredients)
This simple PKU bread requires very little effort and just six basic ingredients.
Mix, let it rise, bake – and it’s ready!
🧺 Ingredients
250 g low-protein flour(I used Loprofin Mix; Mevalia works great as well)
1½ tea spoon dried yeast (around 2.5g)
1 tea spoon salt
1 tea spoon ground caraway seeds
225 ml warm water
40 ml sunflower oil
👩🍳 Instructions
1. Mix all ingredients
Add all dry and wet ingredients into a loaf pan and mix until a smooth dough forms.
2. Let it rise
Cover the pan and let the dough rise for 3 hours, or until visibly increased in size.
3. Ready to bake
The dough is ready when the surface looks soft, airy, and slightly bubbly.
4. Bake 🙂
Bake at 180 °C (356 °F) for 35 minutes.
Important note: Every oven is different, so baking time may vary.
My proven tip for a beautiful, crispy, golden crust:👉 First bake for 35 minutes at 180 °C (356 °F) using top & bottom heat program.👉 Then switch to fan + top heat for 2–3 minutes to finish the crust.
5. Finish the bread
Immediately after baking, brush the bread with water on all sides.Wrap it in a clean kitchen towel and let it rest for 10 minutes to keep it soft and moist.
6. Serve 🙂
Slice and enjoy a soft, everyday low-protein bread.
❤️ Give it a try and let me know how it turns out! 🥰! 🍞
